Patients who do not have a Medicare number will be charged $339.00 per appointment. Please contact the cashiers office on (08) 6457 8217 and/or your Insurance Company for any queries.
If you have a current Medicare card - this class will be free, please note if you are asked for payment please contact North Metropolitan Health Services - (08) 6457 7991 and report any suspicious activity.
Antenatal Musculoskeletal Clinic
Location: A block at Osborne Park Hospital
A short one-off appointment with a Women's Health Physiotherapist for pregnancy related pain. You can attend without a referral if you are delivering at Osborne Park Hospital. These sessions are run every Thursday.
Further appointments can be booked only after discussion with the physiotherapist.
Please cancel your booking prior to the appointment time to allow others to book in. Contact OPH Physiotherapy on (08) 6457 8059 if you require assistance.
Antenatal Exercise Class
Healthy pregnancy exercise classes - every mum delivering at OPH or KEMH from 14 weeks to 40 weeks can attend. Run every Thursday 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm.
Antenatal Exercise Medical Clearance Form (PDF)
Wear comfy clothes, closed in shoes and have a water bottle ready.
When you attend your first class, you will need to bring a consent form signed by your doctor or midwife stating that your pregnancy is low risk, and it is safe for you to exercise. Copies of this form are available from the link above.
Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond workshops from 20 weeks of pregnancy
Saturday mornings (4 hrs) or Wednesday evenings (2 hrs x 2 sessions). These are physiotherapy run practical sessions for pregnant women and support people which include: relaxation and pain management techniques, breathing awareness, positioning for first and second stages of labour, massage, pelvic floor education, pregnancy aches and pains and essential exercises, post-natal advice, baby handling and baby massage.

Postnatal Education Class
Post natal education / information class. Must be attended prior to the postnatal exercise class on a Friday. Women who have delivered their baby at OPH or KEMH (and have Medicare) are welcome to attend this education and introduction to exercise class. This class can be attended at any time after delivery and includes information relevant to the early postnatal period. The class runs Fridays 11.30 am to 12.30 am via MS Teams.
Postnatal Exercise Class
Patients must attend one postnatal education class prior to their first postnatal exercise class. The education classes are run online every Friday afternoon from 2.45pm to 3.45pm by a physiotherapist. The physiotherapist will provide postnatal education, complete all necessary paperwork and ensure your tummy muscles and pelvic floor muscles have been checked prior to commencing the postnatal exercise class. Bookings for both the education class and exercise class are essential.
Location: F Block, Makuru Room, OPH. Friday 1.30 pm to 2.30 pm.
Breastfeeding workshops offered by the Breastfeeding Centre of WA

These classes are open to public patients across the state. The breastfeeding workshops are held online in small group settings and provide a practical session for all pregnant women.
Bookings are essential, please book in early to avoid disappointment. Please see booking system for specific dates. Your partner or support person is welcome to attend our classes with you.

LIVE ONLINE class for parents, runs from 11am to 12 pm, Monday to Friday by a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

LIVE ONLINE class for parents, runs weekly on a Tuesday, by a Lactation Consultant from the Breastfeeding Centre of WA.
Overseas patient fees
Hospital fees for patients who are not eligible for Medicare are set by the WA Department of Health. Overseas visitors and overseas students are required to pay for the cost of their care. More information about overseas patient fees.
