About us

Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) provides specialist health care services for the community in the north metropolitan area. The hospital has 186 beds and employs over 596 staff who treat over 95,000 patients every year.

OPH was opened in 1962 and is located in Stirling, 14 kilometres from the Perth central business district. The hospital provides a comprehensive range of specialist health care services for the north metropolitan suburbs. The services at OPH are provided by three main specialties:

  • Rehabilitation and Aged Care Services and Younger Adult Rehabilitation,
  • Surgical Services, and
  • Women’s and Newborn Services.

Each of these specialties has a dedicated Allied Health Team incorporating diabetes, dietetics, occupational therapy, pharmacy, physiotherapy, podiatry, social work and speech pathology and more.

Supporting these specialties are hospital wide services including infection prevention and control, clinical psychology, inpatient and community services, pathology, radiology and general practice liaison.

OPH is fully accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS).

There is no emergency department at OPH and patients are generally accepted into our care via an appointment, by referral from a clinician or directly from Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, our partner hospital.

We are committed to continuous quality improvement and we seek and utilise feedback from patients, carers, families and other consumers to identify areas for improvement. We monitor and evaluate and benchmark our services continuously.

OPH is part of the Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group within the North Metropolitan Health Service.
