We are currently recruiting for our operating theatres.

OPH is a community hospital located in the north metropolitan area in Stirling, 14 kilometres from the Perth CBD.

A busy 5 theatre plus 2 endoscopy suite department providing elective surgery for specialties including:

  • Obstetrics and gynaecology
  • Endoscopy
  • Pain management
  • General Surgery – incl breast surgery
  • Plastic and reconstructive surgery
  • Ear Nose and Throat (ENT)
  • Urology
  • Orthopaedics (joint arthroplasty)
  • Opthamology
  • Neurosurgery
  • Vascular surgery

It is a multi-skilled environment providing opportunity to develop advanced nursing skills in anaesthetics, recovery room in addition to instrument and circulating roles.

Located by the train line connecting the city and suburbs far north and south including great public transport connections to east and west part of the town with free and easily accessible parking.

Professional nursing registration requirements

Registration with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia (NMBA) is a requirement for employment at SCGH as a nurse.

To establish whether you will be eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia you should contact the NMBA (external site) directly.

Overseas applicants must obtain NMBA registration prior to a visa being approved by the Department of Immigration.
