Osborne Park Hospitals clinical nurse Elgi Clinical nurse Elgi shares why she loves working at Osborne Park Hospital.
07/05/2025
After moving from Sydney to Perth last year, Osborne Park Hospitals (OPH) clinical nurse Elgi shared what she loved most about working as a nurse at OPH and why she recommends others join the team.

Elgi said she received a warm welcome from her team at OPH which calmed her nerves and made all the difference with settling in both at work and in her new home.

The mother-of-two admitted it was a bit daunting to start the new role and she was worried whether it would be a good working environment, but after day one with her new team she hasn’t looked back.

“From the start, I received a very warm welcome at Osborne Park Hospital," she said.

"I was provided with detailed orientation sessions, and three supernumerary shifts which enabled me to gain vast information regarding hospital policies and routines of the ward.

“Everyone, including my Nurse Manager, Senior Development Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists and colleagues, were so supportive, and they helped me to get settled in the new workplace very easily.

“I feel extremely happy to be a part of this wonderful team and look forward to working here for many more years.”

Moving with her husband, who works at SCGH, Elgi is happy to be on the west coast and closer to family members.

“If anyone is planning to make the jump from overseas or interstate; I highly recommend North Metropolitan Health Service as a good place to work, not just for the work environment but for how amazing the people are as well,” Elgi said.

Want to join the team? SCGH and OPH currently have enrolled and registered nursing positions available.
