With a range of nursing opportunities currently available at Sir Charles Gardiner (SCGH) and Osborne Park Hospitals, Olivia shared what she loved most about working as a nurse at SCGH and why others should join the team.

After moving to Perth from the United Kingdom in 2023, Olivia joined the SCGH Haematology and Oncology nursing team.

"When I got here and told people that I will be working at ‘Charlies’ everyone told me what a great hospital it is to work for - so I was really excited to start," she said.

"I have now been working at SCGH for just over a year in Haematology and Oncology, and my experience so far has been amazing," she said.

"My colleagues in Haematology and Oncology have been really supportive, as emigrating to a new country can be overwhelming at first, so I can’t thank both teams enough for their support and being so welcoming and friendly."

Olivia said she had made friends for life at SCGH and was enjoying the work-life balance and the Perth lifestyle, beaches, camping and sun.

"It's an excellent hospital to learn and grow as a nurse, and I’m so glad I chose Charlies to continue my career as a registered nurse in Perth," she said.

Want to join the team? SCGH and OPH currently have enrolled and registered nursing positions available.
