Staff across our OPH and SCGH sites recently participated in the annual Medication Safety Week competition vying for the coveted trophies for 2020.

Congratulations to our winners - Ward G54 from SCGH and the Women’s and Newborn Service (WNS) at OPH for achieving success.

Staff from G54 put in a huge effort with nursing, medical, pharmacy, allied health and support staff all participating and subsequently submitting the most correct entries to the puzzle. Special mention to G62 and G73 who also put in strong efforts this year. Many thanks to the SCGH catering department for donating Rejuvon8 Café coffee vouchers to the winning ward.

A fantastic effort from the OPH WNS team which submitted the highest number of correct entries to claim the OPH Medication Safety Week trophy for 2020. Special mention also to the radiology and speech pathology departments at OPH which both had 100 percent of staff submit an entry! Well done teams.

The winning wards have had their names engraved on the coveted trophy which they will display in pride of place until Medication Safety Week 2021 when they will have to compete for it again.
