Nurse Spotlight - OPH's Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) Nurses
In celebration of International Nurses Day 2021, we are shining a spotlight on our exceptional nurses.
This year the Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group is focusing on nurse innovation in the face of an unprecedented global health crisis. The pandemic has opened up opportunities for us to stop and explore what we do and how we do it, providing nurses a way to do things better.
Today’s spotlight is on the Osborne Park ACAT Nurses who form part of a multidisciplinary Aged Care Assessment Team made up of Nursing, Social Work and Occupational Therapy.
The Osborne Park ACAT Nurses participated in the development of a triaging service for ACAT that ensures the large volume of referrals and general enquiries are appropriately prioritised for assessments so that vulnerable older people receive aged care services in a timely manner.
ACAT Nurses are also always available to their ACAT colleagues to provide nursing expertise on a range of nursing procedures and medical conditions.
The Osborne Park ACAT Nursing team is a group of very committed clinicians who always ensure the highest quality patient care, making an enormous contribution to the efficiency and effectiveness of the whole team.
