Barbara Pruks
30/11/2020

Congratulations Barbara Pruks, our October Employee of the Quarter Award winner.

Introducing our October OPH Employee of the Quarter Award winner, Barbara Pruks, Site Services Coordinator.

Barbara was nominated for this award by Marie Slater, OPH Nurse Co-Director and Chuong Vo, Site Services Manager wholeheartedly endorsed this nomination.

Barbara is described as exceptionally diligent and committed to improving the quality of our health care service. She not only has influence and impact within her department, she creates a path of excellence wherever she travels.

Barbara has implemented new reporting processes to ensure patient safety. Her commitment to hand hygiene compliance and motivating PSA staff has resulted in 100% compliance rates for these staff which is an excellent achievement.

She has also shared her artistic talents, volunteering her time to show patients how to create art.

Barbara works with integrity and treats everyone with respect and care. She is always willing to help out and has excellent skills in working with people from culturally diverse backgrounds and people living with a disability.

Barbara is very determined and uncompromising when requiring the highest standard of work from herself and others, yet she is understanding and flexible when people are experiencing difficulties and need help. She holds herself and others accountable for work responsibilities, as well as for treating everyone equitably, which is a mark of integrity.

Because Barbara is a team player, she is able to step into other related work roles and she always fulfils them to the very best of her ability. When other members of a team are unable to complete their tasks, Barbara can always be relied on to adapt and fit into another's role. This is of particular benefit when there is a Code Yellow.

Clearly, the judges were impressed and also agreed!

Congratulations Barbara, you deserve this recognition for demonstrating the NMHS values each and every day in your actions and attitude.  Your self-motivation is inspiring to so many – thank you!

Barbara and her colleagues will celebrate at an afternoon tea where she will be presented with a $150 gift voucher from our sponsors.

A special thanks to our generous sponsors: HESTA, Paywise, Smartsalary and Aware Super.

If you've had a great experience with one of our staff members why not put them forward for an award? Next time you are onsite ask how you can submit a nomination.
