Speech Pathology
The Speech Pathology Department at Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) provides assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders for adults. Services are available to both inpatients and outpatients.

- Inpatient rehabilitation wards
- Day Therapy Unit for people over the age of 65
- Day Hospital
- Stroke Clinic
- Parkinson’s Clinic
- Memory Clinic
- Community Outpatient service for people over the age of 18
OPH Speech Pathology Department Specialist Skills
- Intensive group therapies for speech and swallowing
- Lee Silverman Voice Treatment for speech and swallowing
- Videofluoroscopy analysis of swallowing
Inpatient Referrals
Inpatient referrals require medical governance and can be received via verbal / paged referral.
Outpatient Referrals
- e-Referrals are not accepted.
- GP referrals are required for all outpatients.
- Referrals for voice disorders must include a recent report from an Ear Nose and Throat Specialists.
- Referrals are not accepted for people with another funded speech pathology service to be eligible funded packages.
